Application Process

Focus Academy is a public charter school and therefore a school of choice. Families must follow the Admissions Policy, which includes an application and a personal interview. Documentation must be included for an application to be considered complete.

Please review our updated Admissions Policy below. If you need more information after checking out our Frequently Asked Questions page, we would be happy to speak with you further and answer any questions.  Please call our office at 813.443.5558. Our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

During the first week of Open Enrollment in November, tours will be offered to families who would like a closer look at the school. If you missed tour week, but are still interested in seeing the school, please complete our online Tour Request  or call the main office at 813.443.5558.

We will also be holding our annual Open House for prospective families for 2020 on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at 7 p.m.  Plan to attend to hear a presentation from our Director of Academics and Clinical Director, take a tour of the classrooms and campus, and ask questions about our program.

We have minimal openings each year with interest in student placement rapidly growing.  When the number of student applications exceeds the number of available seats we hold an open, public lottery.
