About us
Founded in 2012 by parents of children with special needs, Focus Academy is a tuition-free public ESE charter school serving students ages 14-22. We were the only charter ESE school in Hillsborough county to receive the highest rating for special education in 2018-19.
Acceptance
We are located in Temple Terrace and accept students throughout Tampa Bay. Our policy requires the Admissions Team to interview all prospective students and families to ensure that the student meets the eligibility requirements as stated in our charter. From Center Stage To The Workforce
The curriculum at Focus Academy is structured with dual purposes: academic achievement and social success. This is highlighted by our innovative Drama Therapy program, which helps students to socialize and break out of their comfort zones. Our Transition Program for workforce training and life skills prepares students ages 18-22 years who have completed high school.
